National Put the Brakes on Fatalities Day
Here’s a note from the New Jersey State Safety Council.
This Friday, October 10 is the National Put the Brakes on Fatalities Day.
It’s a nationwide program asking the general public to be especially aware of safety while driving. The goal is a zero fatality day here in NJ and nationwide. If possible please publicize this in your jurisdictions through press releases, presentations, signs, etc. and have marked cars as visible as possible throughout the day.
The Division is asking all police departments in the State to report in with their crash experience for the day. This can be done by direct data entry to a form on our website using the following link: http://www.nj.gov/oag/hts/ptbof-reporting-form.html
We are asking simply for the total number of crashes, injury crashes, and fatalities.
Thank you.
