How Do You Handle Safety Impostors
A SafetyXChange member wrote a note in response to Dave Duncan’s article last week:
“Great information.
Any thought to an article about people using titles without getting the accreditation like Safety Engineer, or Industrial Hygienist and not actually being an Engineer or CIH.
I often run into those people with titles that haven't had the actual education or certification. Just a thought.”

We agree: this would make a great article. But we haven’t run into the problem. How about you, SafetyXChange readers? Have you had any experience dealing with people who use credentials they haven’t earned? If so, how did you handle it? Send your stories to catherinej@bongarde.com.

Would it not make sence to ask the offender to provide proof of accreditation; as a CRSP you recieve a wallet card. I am not to sure about the CSP in the US. But I have no problem when asked to provide my accreditation proof.
