SAFETY EXCELLENCE

  • The FW safety objective is "Commitment to Safety Excellence".
  • Safety is a value to FW.
  • Zero Incidents are expected.
  • FW has a Safety Excellence culture that is driven from top management down through safety commitment, safety leadership, and safety direction.
  • Proactive safety management reduces risks and incidents
    All employees will be involved in the safety process and will be empowered to improve the safe performance of the project through proactive risk assessments of the work with the usage of the Job Site Safety Analysis system.
  • All incidents, including near misses, will be investigated using the root cause analysis for fact finding, not fault finding, with corrective actions.
    Track all incidents and use them as a learning opportunity.
  • Always use behavioral based initiatives and utilize peer to peer observations and interventions.
  • Always look for leading indicators and the opportunities for early intervention for continual review and improvement of the safety program performance from lessons learned.
  • Assess safety systems and behavioral processes, and improve where possible through engineering controls.
  • Safety incentive base programs promote prompt reporting and the culture of zero incidents, as well as compliance.
    Safety training is a major component of safety excellence.
  • Training reflects the company's safety culture, creates awareness, and builds on the company's safety goals and objectives.
  • Training materials should be current and specific to maintain interest and support from the employees.
  • Training will improve and change employees' behavior and drive accountability outward through out the company.
