One of our employees had been off for a while due to a non-work-related injury. He called in "sick" one day with, "I just feel too good to come in to work today!" We all got a laugh out of that one. As a college professor, my husband has heard 'em all. Most of the time he tells his students they are just out of luck, but he came home once and said, "I excused a student's absence today." Her excuse? Her horse was foaling, and had to have an emergency C-Section. He said, "Even if it's not true, it's certainly not something I've ever heard before!" Hah!
