Computer-Based Testing Announcement
Is 2010 the year you plan to get your CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) designation? If so, take note of this recent announcement from the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals forwarded by SafetyXChange member and contributor, Alan Quilley.
The BCRSP’s Certification and Examination Committee is working towards moving from a paper and pencil to a computer based testing (CBT) examination administration.
A pilot CBT administration of the examination (CRSPEX) will be conducted for candidates in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) writing the May 2010 examination and will affect candidates interviewed at the GTA, Hamilton/Niagara and Kitchener/Cambridge Regional Screening Centres.
Information on test centre locations and the procedure to register for this CBT administration will follow.
The Board expects to expand the CBT administration to several other test centres across Canada before moving to a full CBT administration in 2011.

Catherine, after challenging the exam in October, perhaps the best route will be CBT, would also like to see some "long answers" on the exam as well, I did miserably on the "Law Section" which include "Ethics", so was disappointed but will persevere and rewrite in May (Edmonton, old format). I have been away for 15 years, so hopefully the Law reference book will help out!! Probably should have purchased it in the first place, but would certainly recommend it for all CRSP candidates.
Trust you had a great Christmas and look forward to your articles in 2010.
