Training Coordinator, Health & Safety

Description
ATCO Structures Inc. has an immediate opening for a Training Coordinator, Health & Safety. Reporting to the Manager, Health, Safety & Environment, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating and delivering training programs to employees.
Responsibilities
- Conducting ongoing needs assessment studies to determine education, training, and development priorities based on the assessed needs, business impact and available resources in accordance with the company’s continuous improvement plan.
- Participating in the evaluation of the Occupational Health & Safety program to ensure the company is in compliance with applicable legislation.
- Providing training on various health and safety topics such as WHMIS, fire safety, CPR, and fall protection for all employees.
- Conducting safety orientation for employees, contractors and 3rd party recipients.
- Organizes and develops training manuals, reference library, multimedia visual aids and other educational materials.
- Develops methods of evaluation to measure learning and the effectiveness of corporate training programs and initiatives.
- Maintaining training databases and confidential records for all employees where applicable.
Qualifications
- As the successful candidate you have a post secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety as well as a minimum of 3 years of experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of business-related education, training and/or development programs, adult training techniques and/or organizational development strategies.
- Professional accreditation or designation in either OH&S or Adult Education would be considered an asset.
- You have strong presentation skills and a proven ability to work within the program.
- You must possess strong program development and organizational skills and are a demonstrated self-starter.
