SAIF’s safety management consultants do much more than simply provide occupational health and safety recommendations. Our mission is to serve as cultural change agents who provide our business partners with a clear vision of what a “high performance safety culture” looks like and then strategically influence key management to achieve that vision.

SAIF has a dynamic team of over 30 safety and health professionals serving in offices throughout the state. Three of these consultants focus their energies on partnering with state agency risk managers and safety officers to ensure the safety of the work force employed by the State of Oregon.

The safety management consultant on the State Agency Team provides proactive and dynamic consultation and intervention services to state agencies requiring relatively complex loss control and safety management services. The consultant supports the agencies in their efforts to control losses from injury due to workplace accidents and incidents by establishing and integrating sound, practical and effective loss control programs and business practices.

If you have at least seven years of experience providing health and safety or loss control services, we’d like to hear from you. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong consultative skills and commitment to and enthusiasm for reducing work place injuries through promotion of best practice health and safety processes. Exceptional customer service, communication and organizational skills are a must. Placement in the salary grade and range will be based on the successful candidate’s pertinent experience, education, and skills.
