The primary role of the Environmental, Health & Safety Manager, who will be located at our manufacturing facility in St. Peters, Missouri, is to proactively manage and implement environmental health and safety (EH&S) programs for the North American Supply organization. These EH&S programs will include hazard identification evaluation and control, accident/injury prevention, hazardous materials/waste management and environmental regulatory compliance.

This is the ideal role for an individual with a solid understanding of general environmental and energy related issues and committed to:
- Delivering North American Supply environment and low carbon programs.
- Influencing environmental regulatory change and ensuring effective implementation.
- Managing and coordinating relationships with external environmental stakeholders.
- Managing the supply/manufacturing environmental policies and ensuring management systems are in place.
- Promote senior level engagement and manage relationships across supply on environmental issues.
- Lead role in development and deployment of appropriate Performance/Program Standards outlining minimum EHS expectations throughout the North American Supply Organization.
- Develop and execute EHS objectives, targets, strategies and action plans, in conjunction with appropriate client groups, to ensure conformance with SET's EHS System.
- Monitor and comment on EHS Federal Regulations while defining the impact to the supply organization.
- Lead ISO 14001 within the supply NA organization.
Qualifications:
- BS in Health & Safety, environmental science, engineering or equivalent.
- 7 + years progressive experience with EHS Management Systems, EHS Auditing, EHS Statistical Analysis or related experience
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and Power Point
- Practical experience and understanding of EHS regulations (EPA, OSHA and TSCA), audit programs and EHS Policy and Standards development
- Practical experience with development of EHS metrics (GHG emissions inventory reporting)
- Background and practical experience in risk management, root cause incident investigation techniques
- Excellent analytical skills with the demonstrated ability to analyze multi-faceted situations/problems/concepts
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced setting, along with the ability to be a strong team player on cross and inter departmental project teams
- EHS certifications/designations
