DESCRIPTION: This Company is a large dynamic supplier to the automotive industry. The company is stable and experiencing very strong growth. This company is a leading edge high tech manufacturing organization with growth potential in to many new areas. They are seeking a key team player provide support to the Health and Safety Activities of the plant. The primary focus will be targeted to the Health and Safety area with focus on safety programs and devices, Workers Compensation, Plant security and ISO14001.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will provide the support to all Safety activities and programs for the plant. Health and Safety of all employees is a primary goal. This position will assist in analysis of new processes or new equipment to assure the safety of operation. Position will involve development of Safety procedures and implementation of those procedures. Monitoring of safety rules and practices will be a daily activity.
REQUIREMENTS: The Company prefers a four-year degree (prefer Industrial Hygiene or Occupational Safety) and 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing operation that involves stamping and welding related operations. Experience must include manufacturing plant experience.(Company will consider non-degreed candidates with significant experience in a manufacturing environment). The ability to think on your feet and rapidly adjust to changing priorities is necessary. Excellent communication skills and the ability to generate cooperation are required. The ability to inspire confidence and trust are essential. Strong documentation skills and reporting skills are required.
DESIRED: Desirable attributes include advanced education and/or strong related experience. Experience working with a tier #1 supplier is a strong plus.
