An individual with experience in management systems to coordinate all facilities to be certified to appropriate standards given industry requirements. To provide focus on Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Initiatives.


Primary Responsibilities (May include but not limited to):
 Facilitate and implement management systems at PVS Facilities as project manager.
 Audit and advise site management to ensure compliance with all applicable Health and Safety regulations, Policies and Procedures, Fire Codes and Responsible Care Management System.
 Schedule and oversee audits with auditors for internal audit and certification audits, as well as with Regulatory agencies such as OSHA, USEPA, State EPA, DOT and assist sites in resolution of any reported non-conformances.
 Use the Risk Assessment process to identify Risks for facilities and to set Goals and Objectives for the Responsible Care Management System.
 Educate managers, supervisors, and employees about injury prevention and safety programs; perform detailed health and safety audits; and take a collaborative approach to implement safety solutions.
 Work with site leadership and personnel to maintain high performance and high level awareness for EHS & RCMS. Drive continuous improvement.
 Track and coordinate corrective actions.
 Maintain and implement corporate EHS initiatives.
 Participate in ensuring site compliance with applicable standards, procedures, federal and state regulations, permits, and corporate standards.
 Report to management on the performance of the Responsible Care Management System, and other Management systems with any need for improvement.
 Responsible for facilitating the sharing of programs, procedures, tools, and successfully demonstrated practices within the EHS Community.
 Conduct site self-assessments and champion the Management of Change process for implementation at the sites.
 Support Security Initiatives and Compliance efforts.
 Share and teach best practices for EHS& S.
 Work closely with Safety Director, Compliance Coordinator and other safety leaders to coordinate and achieve EHS &S Goals.
Secondary Responsibilities
 Assist sites as needed in Accident/incident investigation, mitigation and reporting. Assist sites in conducting effective root cause analysis for incidents and trends.
 Be an active ChemTrec Response Team Member.
 Participate in internal regulatory review processes for the appropriate regulatory compliance documentation of raw materials, manufacturing processes and products across the U.S.
 Support corporate initiatives to work with employees to ensure compliance with federal and state safety, health and environmental requirements.
 Ensure the promotion and awareness of regulatory and customer requirements throughout the organization.
 Serves as an in-house consultant and/or project manager for any safety and health issues.
 Manage and improve internal records systems.
 Assist sites in SOP development, review and implementation.
 Audit comprehensive site-wide HSE recordkeeping and information management systems.

Required Education / Training / Equivalent Experience (Prior to hire / transfer):

 Excellent Reputation for Integrity.
 At least 5 to 7 years experience in safety and health, process operations, auditing, training, and accident/incident investigation and mitigation at a chemical manufacturing facility.
 Professional certification as a CHMM, CSP, ASP, CIH or CIHT strongly desired.
 Experience with Responsible Care, Responsible Distribution, and ISO Standards.
 BS in safety engineering, business or related field is preferable. An associate's degree or applicable experience in the safety field or process operations experience may be considered as a substitute for a BS.
 Experience tracking and analyzing emerging regulatory issues, communication of issues to sites and development of company regulatory point of view.
 Experience with developing standards / procedures / training.
 Proficient with all MS Office, especially Excel, Word, Access.
 Has strong attention to detail.
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
 Efficiently handle multiple tasks simultaneously, achieving results on time. Influence/negotiate with others at various levels of the organization and at regulatory agencies.
 Experience in supervision and supervising people at various levels. Ability to lead change. Ability to think strategically.
 Ability to work in a team oriented environment
 A thorough understanding of OSHA and NFPA rules and recommendations.
 Ability to travel over 50% of the time.
