Health & Wellness Incentives

Companies offer workers incentives not only to work safely but to live more healthily. Here are some numbers that document the use of health and wellness incentives by U.S. employers:

  • 71 The percentage of employers who offer workers incentives to promote health and wellness (up from 62% last year)
  • 192 The average value of incentives per person offered each year
  • 5 to 500 The dollar value range of weight management incentives offered
  • 5 to 600 The range of smoking cessation incentives offered
  • 48 The percentage of employers who offer incentives for participating in a program
  • 38 The percentage of employers who offer incentives for completing a program
  • 16 The percentage of employers who offer incentives for achieving stated goals or outcomes during the program.
