About SafetyXChange

Welcome to SafetyXChange. We think you're going to like it here, especially if you're a safety professional looking for a fresh approach to workplace health and safety. Here's information about SafetyXChange, its mission and who's behind it.

What is SafetyXChange?

SafetyXChange is an online community where safety professionals can go for new ideas, workable solutions and fresh perspectives. At the center of SafetyXChange is a Board of Advisors that includes some of the continent's most respected thinkers, industry leaders and policymakers:

The advisors are not here just to grace our letterhead. They'll be contributing stories to the SafetyXChange weekly newsletters. You'll also be hearing from safety directors of Fortune 100 companies like GM, BP, DuPont, Halliburton, Pfizer and Ford, as well as labor leaders from the AFL-CIO and UAW.

What Will You Get Out of SafetyXChange?

We know that the amount of online information available to the safety professional is practically boundless. But SafetyXChange won't be just another face in the crowd. Its mission is to enliven workplace health and safety and give the people who practice it a new forum for interchange. It's the place where everybody knows your name and are always glad you came. But instead of beer, SafetyXChange serves up enriching content like:

  • Daily newsletters that provide practical solutions to the real world problems safety professionals like you confront every day;
  • Unique “Tools”, or model forms, checklists, training documents and other materials that you can adapt and use at your own facilities;
  • Access to archives of searchable editorial content on all aspects of health and safety—from compliance to finance and “making the business case for safety”;
  • Interactive listserves and “blogs” for exchanging ideas with your colleagues; and
  • Career guidance and information about the industry.

What's the Point of SafetyXChange?

The driving force behind SafetyXChange is the conviction that safety doesn't have to be boring. We aim to make the SafetyXChange experience rewarding and entertaining. When you come to SafetyXChange, be prepared for something different: imaginative solutions, challenges to old line theories, provocative opinions and even humor.

But make no mistake. SafetyXChange is not an attempt to be radical or even outside the mainstream. If you don't believe it, just take a look at our Board of Advisors.

SafetyXChange is completely FREE. To get access to the content and share in the interchange you simply have to provide your e-mail address.
