Jarrett Johnson is the Safety and Health Specialist for Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania and Maryland. It is a large territory with numerous employees. Jarrett is dedicated to the health and well being of all employees. He attends all local Safety Committee Meetings. During these meetings safety suggestions and hazards are reviewed. Jarrett evaluates all of the suggestions and takes action on implementing the viable suggestions. He reviews and evaluates all safety hazards and follows through for a positive outcome.

When a medical injury or vehicle accident occurs, Jarrett conducts "Root Cause" analysis (to find out how the accident occurred and more importantly how it could of been prevented) with the employee and his /her supervisor, a safety committee member, and the Operations Center Manager. He writes u p a report and this report is communicated to all employees for awareness and prevention of future similar injuries or accidents. In addition, Jarrett tries to find new products that can contribute to make our employee's job safer and provide the needed protection.

He regularly visits employees working "out in the field" and checks the construction site for any safety violations and makes sure all proper protective equipment is being utilized. He actively seeks employee input on safety related items. He is always safety conscious and takes his job very seriously. He is dedicated to protecting our employees so that they can return home each day safe and sound to their employees. He travels many miles over Pennsylvania and Maryland to participate and administer our safety program.

I am sure I am missing other examples of what Jarrett does and how he is actively protecting our employees.
